A first… and so much fun to announce!
The Colorado Photographic Arts Center has put together an outdoor exhibition on the theme “Reimagining Hope”–a response to the difficult year 2020. The selected images will be digitally projected on the Daniels & Fisher Tower at 1601 Arapahoe St. in Denver, March 1-13, 2021, every evening from 6 until 11 p.m.

I want you to know that I titled this image From Which Hope Springs before I learned about this exhibition opportunity! One of my coping strategies for 2020 was solitary walks in natural areas looking for new ways to see and show what I like to call #DetailsEarth. (If you search online for that hashtag, you should find many more examples.) These willow leaves with their bright red twigs capturing the last rays of a late afternoon sun back in November reminded me that spring and better things will come.
“Reimagining Hope” is part of Month of Photography Denver, a biennial festival that celebrates the art of photography through public exhibitions and events across the region.
The Colorado Photographic Arts Center is dedicated to fostering understanding and appreciation of excellent photography in all forms and concepts through exhibitions, education and community outreach. Learn more at cpacphoto.org. Executive Director Samantha Johnston juried the exhibition.
