February: Take Flight

Tower cranes grace the sky. Construction sites of huge buildings present dynamic, colorful, complex facades. How in the world do the hard hats know what they are doing perched stories above the street? Moving purposefully through a maze of scaffolding and building materials? January: Iced Gumbo

You remember January 1, 2018, right? Cold it was, at least in northern Louisiana. But I heard about a thing called “1st Day Hike” and the idea had immediate appeal. I was ready to get outdoors in spite of the cold, and I had nothing better to do. The City of West Monroe, Louisiana, will present “Year of the River” beginning in January 2019. Artworks will be hung in the 2nd floor lobby for all who pass through a busy, busy place to see. I am thrilled to announce that three of my pieces will be part of this juried exhibit. Two of my entries were taken while I participated in the River Rat Challenge, a fundraising event on behalf of Horse Assisted Therapy services. Finalist!

The Drink & Click™ theme for November was “History” and I was in Chicago. Yay! And one of my images made “Finalist” in the competition. I’m way proud. But let me give credit where credit is due. I did not know this point of view on the historic Chicago L existed.
