Off the Wall

Green Heron (Butorides virescens)

It is time once again for our local, city-owned art museum, the Masur, to raise funds via their annual art auction. I am pleased to have contributed a piece once again.

This particular green heron was photographed at Black Bayou Lake NWR. The piece is comprised of a 14×11 pigment print framed 20×16 with a white mat, black gallery frame and glass glazing. All of the materials are archival.

The silent auction portion of the event has begun. You, too, can participate here. The works are also exhibited in the River Gallery at the Masur and bidding will continue until the end of the in-person party.

The party is this Friday, April 14, 6-9 p.m. at the Masur. Successful bidders at the party will take home their new art at the end of the party. Tickets for the Bon Voyage Raffle will also be available at the party.

Go to the Masur’s website to purchase a party ticket and preview the art, or make your first bid. You can also find links to everything you need to participate on the museum’s Facebook page here. I’ll be at the party and hope to see you there, too!
