Ok, I admit it. I have never associated karaoke with high fashion. But leave it to the Ruston arts and entertainment culture to innovate!
This Thursday, Oct. 15, is the Third Annual Fashion Karaoke Competition. It will be an upscale event with great fashion, serious karaoke competition and prizes, and–here’s where I come in–arts and fashion vendors. The location this year is the Ropp Center on the Louisiana Tech Campus.

The event begins at 6 p.m. with a one-hour social gathering. Karaoke competition begins at 7 p.m. and ends at approximately 9 p.m. with one intermission. Beverages and appetizers will be available.
I and others of my Ruston Artisan Co-op colleagues will be among the vendors. I’ll have a variety of artist notecards, some matted prints ready for framing, some framed pieces ranging in sizes from 12×12 squares up to 16×20, and a few other odds and ends. I’ll also have limited edition puzzles, a few each of four designs, but I should mention that the two butterfly designs have been popular and my stock is running low.

Come on out for a fun evening in Ruston! Maybe even start your Christmas shopping?
