Sometimes I get to thinking I am crazy. And then an image that has already been “not invited” once or twice gets “invited,” and your faith in your own judgment and work is restored. At least momentarily!

I just received an invitation from 311 Gallery in Raleigh, NC, to exhibit two works in their “Black & White 2019” juried show. I love both pieces, but both have been submitted and not invited at least twice before. Each time I went back to the image and refined my editing a tiny bit. So glad I persisted!

Double Arpeggio is an architectural study, made inside the Milwaukee Museum of Art, which is a work of art in itself. This is a portion of the ceiling in the main hall. The entire building is a marvel in how it interacts with the sun to create ever-changing patterns of light. #LightWash #MusicoftheSpheres

Dreamlandia II could be a million places in Louisiana, but, in fact, it is a swampy area somewhere in D’Arbonne Lake NWR on an overcast December day as evening approached. To me, the swamp is a thing of great beauty, but it also always sends a bit of a shiver down my spine. Have I conveyed that? #CreationConsidered #EarthAbstracts
