Of the images I create, the ones I love most are often not the ones that get accepted into art shows. The lack of art show-juror interest does not diminish my affection for an image, but it is gratifying when an image that has been passed over a number of times finally gets the recognition I think it deserves. Maybe the reason I have trouble driving past farm machinery working the fields, grain elevators, and grazing livestock without stopping to take pictures is because I grew up on an Iowa farm. Whatever the reason, I have been an intrigued observer of Louisiana agriculture since I moved here, and have intermittently, between other fascinations, photographed it. By now, I could do an entire show of Louisiana Agriculture, and indeed I would love to do that, but… where? What kind of venue would be interested in an agriculture show?
