The Virginia Beach Art Center is hosting its 6th Annual National “From My Perspective” Exhibition and I’m in it! I’m always a little amused at art exhibits with “From My Perspective” as a theme, because… if you understand art, every piece ever made is from someone’s perspective. I mean, we humans always must stand somewhere to view the world and where we stand always influences how and what we see. So, how do you narrow down what you’re going to submit? For this show, I looked for images that I thought especially and explicitly represented a particular point of view….

Some years start out slow. This one did. Then all of a sudden I have images in three shows and haven’t said a word bout it. So here goes. “World Untamed”–what a super show theme! Right up my alley, don’t you think? Marin Society of Artists is hosting the show in their Virtual Gallery from March 30 through May 30. You’ll be able to see the show here. Wild for Wildlife

Most of the time, I submit 3 images to juried shows, hoping for one to be invited. Additional images, when allowed, are often expensive to submit. Thus it was fun to be able to submit 6 images to KBM Gallery’s “Wild for Wildlife” online exhibition, and even more fun to have 3 of them invited into the show! You have seen Angel of Death (Osprey) before. It has been in several shows and won a “Best Photograph” in a multi-media show in Denver a couple of years ago. Last time I posted, I suggested that if folks were interested, I would post some chapters from the book I am writing here. I have been going to this place for many years. Not so much lately. I have neglected it. My perpetual busy-ness sometimes crowds out the best things. But back in October 2021, I was on my way home north on LA 165 after a challenging day that had left my spirit hanging by a thread.
