My #YearInReview blog posts don’t necessarily feature my “best” photographs. Rather they feature photographs that help me track and tell the story of the year, month by month.
I also like to make a PowerPoint of the photographs that went to juried art exhibits a given year. I call it “Invited _(year_” because that’s the language artshows use: You work is “invited” into a show.
Does that make these my “best” photos? Well, not necessarily. It just makes them photos that drew the eye of an art-world juror–a person who selects artworks for exhibits as a profession.
Interestingly, none of the photos I used in #YearInReview actually show up again in this slideshow. So I hope you’ll give it a few minutes of your time. And be sure to let me know: How does your “beholder eye” match up with those of the artworld jurors?
Note: Sorry, I can’t make this embedded video go full screen, even though the control bar indicates that it should go full screen. It’s probably my ineptitude with “advanced” technology. (Insert chagrinned emoji here.)
Bette, I found I can ‘hover’ the mouse over the video and an icon appears on the right-hand side, which I can then click on to ‘pop-out’ the video, and then I can make it go full-screen no problem 🙂

Cool! I didn’t think of trying that.
